Gary McCarthy is principal at SilverBack Connects. His network of technology builders and adopters is relatively unique, thanks to a 25 year international career across major financial centres selling and building innovative data analytics/quants products. The SilverBack Connects team continues to work with firms who are either bringing cutting-edge technologies to market or firms who are urgently looking to transition their usage of technology to remain relevant and profitable. SilverBack’s focus is to help companies find the talent required to resource these initiatives.

Additionally, on a retained consultancy basis we work with a small portfolio of 5-10 companies whom we assist on the distribution/packaging of new data analytics to our team’s institutional network based in UK, Ireland, Japan, US and Hong Kong. Big data is everywhere but the ability to deliver it in digestible form with relevant insights is relatively rare. • Built a boutique Irish investment banking franchise from scratch to $10m of revenues within 5 years.
